Young Lawyers' Division Events

Leaders inside and outside of the courtroom, our Young Lawyers' Division (YLD) hosts CLEs and networking events throughout the year. Additionally, the YLD operates the regional Shelby County High School Mock Trial Competition. Winners from this competition advance to the state competition. The YLD also partners with the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law to help students with job readiness workshops and bar exam preparation. Our members are committed to making a positive impact in our community by providing free legal advice to those in need through the Second Saturday Legal Advice Clinic. One of the most popular and longest-running Young Lawyers' Division events is the annual charity golf tournament. Thank you to the YLD, tournament participants, sponsors and organizers who make this event a success year after year. A day of golfing is always fun, but the best part is donating a portion of the proceeds to a local non-profit.
