The Memphis Bar Association has established the Honorable Gina C. Higgins Endowment Fund in honor of Judge Higgins' dedication and leadership to the MBA's Summer Law Intern Program, which encourages first-generation college and law students and others who have limited exposure to the practice of law to consider a career in the legal profession.
"The MBA Summer Law Intern Program is an ABA awarding winning program that increases access to the legal profession. This program has been an essential part of the Memphis Bar Association for the past 17 years. The creation of an endowment will ensure that the program will continue to help new generations of young people become lawyers. If you have always wanted to find a way to help—this is one of the key ways you can."
