October 21-23

TRIAL ACADEMY
The MBA, in conjunction with its Litigation Section, is presenting a 3-day “Trial Academy”, Oct. 21-23, 2009 at the Shelby County Courthouse. Participants in the Trial Academy will hone their trial techniques by practicing various skills, including voir dire, opening statement, direct and cross examination, the examination of experts, and closing argument. Their sessions will be critiqued by some of the best trial attorneys in the area, who will offer constructive criticism. Also, participants will be recorded so they can review their presentations. This seminar offers 14 general CLE hours, & 1 hour of Ethics.
This year's Academy is full but look for information next year on a possible 2010 Academy!

Supreme Court Rule 40A: Appointment of Guardians ad Litem in Custody Proceedings
