Attorney for the Day

The Attorney for the Day Program was created in February 2004 by a subcommittee of the Access to Justice Committee of the Memphis Bar Association and Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc. It convenes every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in room 134 at the Shelby County Courthouse, 140 Adams Avenue. The program offers free services to people representing themselves in the General Sessions Civil Court. The attorney(s) on hand will answer legal questions and assess cases.
