Rockin' Running Tour of Downtown, May 21

Come join the MBA wellness committee on a running tour of downtown Memphis Saturday May 21 at 9:00am. The run will cover about 3 miles starting at The Peabody Hotel and will pass by some of the greatest landmarks, tourist attractions and points of interest Memphis has to offer. The tour guide will be provided by Rockin' Running Tours and includes a t-shirt, photo, and post run refreshment. Cost is $20-25 depending on number of participants. Mothers of the NILE 4th Annual Mothers' Day Banquet, May 5

Mothers of the NILE 4th Annual Mothers’ Day Banquet will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church Broad Avenue (2835 Broad Avenue) from 6-7:30 pm. Registration and seating will begin at 5:30 pm. Edward L. "Real Property Law Institute: Back to Basics," May 11

Real Estate and Environmental Section presents the "Real Property Law Institute: Back to Basics" on May 11th at the Embassy Suites on Shady Grove. Conflict Resolution Center of the Mid-South Grand Opening, May 27

The Conflict Resolution Center of the Mid-South is located in Central Station, 545 South Main, and its grand opening is scheduled for Friday, May 27 from 5-9 pm during the monthly South Main Trolley night. The festivities also include a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Adelman Law Firm. Rebecca Adelman is the principal of Adelman Law Firm, and she is also launching the mediation practice. 

Community Legal Center 11th Annual Fundraiser, June 2

Join the Community Legal Center on June 2nd at Theatre Memphis (630 Perkins Ext.) for the performance of “Crazy For You.” Starting at 6 pm, there will be cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. The play begins at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $40 and proceeds go to the Community Legal Center, a non-profit organization that provides legal representation in civil matters to persons who are not able to afford private legal counsel, as well as educational programs to help clients understand more about their legal rights and obligations. YLD Golf Tournament

On June 24, 2011, the YLD will host its annual Golf Tournament at Glen Eagle Golf Course located in Millington, Tennessee. Tee time is at 1:00 p.m. for this “shotgun start.” Managed by the Navy Golf Program, Glen Eagle Golf Course features rolling hills, magnificent fairways, and well-maintained greens. The course provides an exciting play for golfers of any skill level. At only 20 minutes from downtown Memphis and a registration fee of $65 per person, the Golf Tournament is both conveniently located and affordable. Plus, proceeds from the Tournament will go to benefit the Downtown Porter Boys and Girls Club. Prizes will also be awarded to our top finishers, as well as for the longest drive and closet to the pin, just to name a few. So, whether you are a scratch golfer or consider making contact with the ball off the tee a personal triumph, this is the tournament for you, as good times will be had by all.
